This is the 5th volume of this lite novel. The official translation seems to be more simple compared to the amature one, in a negative way, non sating it is bad or annihilation though. Can't wait to read the sixth and last book.

After waiting for years for this novel, it's finally here and the best parts is that the 6th novel is currently out (and ordered) AND it'due south notwithstanding one hell of a ride!

After waiting for years for this novel, it's finally here and the best parts is that the sixth novel is currently out (and ordered) AND it'southward still one hell of a ride!

───────────────────

This is the first novel series I picked up, I enjoyed the hell out of its anime and since it was just a promotion with nothing wrapped up, I wanted to see how the story begins (novel wise) and of course, continues. Each volume has its fair share of twists and turns, and I'thousand so glad to run into that although I have read 5 volumes of this serial so far, I yet tin can't predict the way Ishio-sensei plans to stop this phase in all of its points. This volume clears up a few secrets we've been running in circles with the characters trying to solve since volume one, adds extra layers to some characters and gives united states of america another perspective of the fiends that makes things somewhat clearer in some places.

The manner Ishio-sensei tells this story is probably the matter I enjoy the most nearly his writing, it'due south non merely following the perspective of a select few and you're supposed to guess how this happened or how did that happen, no, he gives the take a chance for everyone; be it human or not. For example, once the various discussions start, nosotros go characters who mention something off-hand, like the existence of something only the thing is, it would exist the beginning time I've ever heard about it, afterward on in that location will be a section where Ishio-sensei will give the perspective to someone who will reveal how that thing came to be without making the story feel disjointed and I really appreciated that.

Because of how much gets revealed or approached every book, Ishio-sensei also makes some characters repeat that upshot to give the reader a sort of refresher, or at least that'southward what information technology felt like to me. I mean, before the license of this novel it was being fan translated and I read volumes 1-four through that translation which stopped back in 2016 after the license, then this gap getting filled for me to make the transition back into this serial easier was another thing I actually appreciated. Like every other volume, it will focus on a single character in a much bigger scale than the balance and this time we become to see Fremy's past, her upbringing and how she became a brave which as well giving the spotlight to the other characters in smaller and not as history heavy instances.

I did notice that Goldov for some reason didn't get that much of a focus this time around, but so once more, volume three covers almost everything about this guy so I'm content. I didn't talk about the plot so far because there are so many things to embrace and because of spoilers, there are quite a few secrets in this series and although all the braves are working towards defeating the Demon God in some way, they too accept to solve said mysteries and this novel answers almost all of them. After it has left us guessing for years on who is who, and personally I'thousand glad to come across that I wasn't wrong in my deduction, in that location is i large indicator I believe I missed dorsum and then, but reading it here once more solidified my chosen culprit.

In that location was a certain matter I didn't enjoy reading about all that much, and it sad of put a dampener on my reading mood because it was there, but I guess I should have left to Ishio-sensei to somehow convince me that it's bound to happen because of the character roles. Finally.
I recently learned that this Light Novel series is broken downwardly into phases, the outset phase supposedly ends with the sixth volume which, if truthful, works perfectly with the slow speed he writes in andI tin can't look to see how information technology volition exist wrapped upward in volume vi.

Concluding rating: 4/5

I couldn't close my optics to the very dragged out and repetitive approach this time around, nor could I assistance thinking, many times over the form of the novel, that at that place is really very picayune plot-wise happening in this volume that could've easily been condensed to half the length. I don't know. The revelations weren't so shocking this time around and their touch didn't stick as much equally they did in the first three volumes. I'm beginning to worry I'll be disappointed with where the story goes I couldn't shut my eyes to the very dragged out and repetitive approach this fourth dimension effectually, nor could I help thinking, many times over the course of the novel, that there is really very footling plot-wise happening in this volume that could've easily been condensed to half the length. I don't know. The revelations weren't so shocking this time effectually and their impact didn't stick as much as they did in the first three volumes. I'm beginning to worry I'll be disappointed with where the story goes from hither, as I feel similar the series lost quite a bit of steam and momentum in volumes four and 5 in terms of plot and "cleverness." Hither'southward hoping I'm incorrect. ...more

I know this is the lowest score that I gave in this series and it isn't because of the plot or the grapheme neither the writing: the matter that actually put me off when reading this volume is the pace: the step is far too fast since the volume starts quite calm but at folio 40 or something it backfires with frantic and anxious scenes which look like they never end I mean even in the BACKSTORY the stride is extremely fast and you can't have a berth of fresh air until you reach the end of the book.

This absurdly rapid footstep is what let me down in this volume

This serial is brilliant! I read this 1 in no time, simply couldn't put it down. Fortunately, the writer decided that he couldn't drag the "7th plot" without some evolution for much long and decided to answer quite a few questions in this volume. Halfway through it I was thinking "this seems forced" and and so click click click click and everything is clicking into gear... Tgurneau, yous are a sneaky bastard!!

Admittedly amazing, won't debate the plot here equally anything at this phase tin can be consider

Braves of the Six Flowers Book five is stepping up the pacing in regards to the mystery of the 7th Dauntless, and indeed the eighth Brave that Adlet had predicted back in the showtime book.

Braves of the Six Flowers Volume 5 is stepping up the pacing in regards to the mystery of the 7th Brave, and indeed the 8th Brave that Adlet had predicted dorsum in the first book.

Here we learn a bit more than near the half fiend, half human woman Flemy, the Brave Killer.  While anybody learns about something called the Blackbarren Bloom - which Hans, Adlet and Rolonia learned about in the last book completely - Adlet voted against telling the group an actress bit of particular.  The detail that would mean someone was going to die, although it'south no surprise who it is, the extent that anybody goes to try and kill them, or protect them is incredible.

This is too the book where something fractures.  The Braves are divided, non but considering they are suspicious of each other, just considering with Adlet and Hans both beingness in a 'leader' role - one could argue that Hans is but a double vote on certain things since he stated that he didn't want to be a leader - both of them are smart enough to figure things out in their ain fashion.  Here is where we see Hans put everything that had happened in the previous books and laid them out to bespeak out who is actually the 7th Brave, while Adlet is doing his best to finish the others from killing someone important to him.

In the meantime the readers learn who the real 7th is, what the fiends are upward to, and what was the fiends existent programme in regards to the Braves?

This is actually the start book that I never got to read online, so the other 4 books were but going downward memory lane when I had first read them.  This one has simply... ruined all my feels.  Just ruined them all.
